Read My Story about What I’m Doing to Help Fellow Men with Breast Cancer

by admin on September 30, 2010

My name is Donny Kinson. I’m a 49 year old man in Dallas, TX. On August 31st, 2010 I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer for the second time. Sadly I did not catch the cancer early this time, it is Stage 4 and now it has spread through the rest of my body. The doctors have given me two years to live. However, I don’t accept this and I want more!

When my friends and family found out, the outpour of love and concern literally stupefied me. I never really knew how much people cared about me until I revealed that the cancer was “treatable but not curable.” The hardest part of this ordeal is having to watch my friends and family struggle with the fate.

This blog I write will chronicle my battle with the breast cancer. I will post everything that I can capture using words, videos, and pictures. I want for everyone to see what I’m going through, from start to finish. I’m gonna fight this bitch with everything I have!

My hope is that through my struggle and my documentation of it, my family and friends can stay abreast of my condition easily, as well as provide some insight to the other men in the world going through this dreaded disease, and hopefully remove some of the mysteries of treatment and any stigma involved.
